Coachman Concord vs. Thor A.C.E

We are newcomers to the RVing world and are considering a new RV.  There are just 3 of us in our family and we do a lot of sporting events, and activities where there probably isn't a RV hook up most of the time (stadiums, hotels, etc.).  We were initially considering the Coachman Concord but were introduced to the Thor A.C.E while at the dealership.  It really got our attention with the space and was priced significantly less.  Any thoughts on the pros and cons of these two coaches and/or any other suggestions that may be helpful?  Thanks in advance!

Hi JP and  first off welcome to the RV Forum !!!!

I do not have any dealings with either coach I have heard good things about both brands, especially the THOR. The biggest factor in the decision is the floor plan and layout of the rig. What serves you the best and has the best layout and will make you the most comfortable. The appliances are pretty much the same across all brands, hot water heater, fridge, stove, micro. Some may be a little bigger in one than the other.

The choice comes down to what suits you the best for the money you want to spend. There are people here that probably have one of the rigs you are talking about.

You indicate that you may be spending a lot of overnights without hookups.  You really want to consider things like holding tank capacity, electrical storage capacity ( batteries), inverter (for converting 12v DC to 110v AC), etc. I don't know anything about the Coachman but I think the Thor is somewhat limited in that area. I tried to download the brochure but my connection was too slow.

You may want to consider a pre-owned coach where you can get a lot more capacity and featuresfor the same price.
