Decorative Striping Getting Dull
« on: August 08, 2012, 09:22:43 PM »
I have noticed the decorative striping on the side of my van is getting dull or faded. I used car wax on it about 2 months ago and it seemed to get better. Now it seems to have returned to it's faded out look. I'm not sure if the wax hasn't been wiped off completely but it is very noticeable. Does anyone have any advice about restoring my dull looking striping back to it's original color?

I might try a small spot with rubbing compound.  It works on paint, but I'm not sure if it will work on decals.  There's also a product I saw in the automotive section at WM that says it removes Oxidation from head lights, I wonder if that may help it as well.
