We did stop at the welcome center, the staff was very helpful,  did not think to pick up a video,  also stopped
At the info center at Chamberlin overlooking the missouri river.  Lewis and Clark display was very interesting.
Tomorrow Wall Drug and devils Tower.

Day Four. 1880's Town in Belvidere,  Wall Drug, got the tee shirt.  ( will do Badlands on the way home )
Stopped in Belle Fourche the geographical center fo the USA.  Devils Tower by way of SD 34 and Wy 24
Very scenic drive.  Staying at Devils Tower KOA pricy but great view of the tower should see sunrise on
Tower in morning.  Took the 1.3 mile hike around tower this after noon.

Now it's time for a cocktail and the sun set

Tomorrow it's off to Custer SD for 5 days of sightseeing

Sounds like you're still having a great time. And Custer will be fabulous !

Have fun
Wendy

Watch out for the burros at Custer. They will stick their head in your window looking for a handout. And you do not want to feed them. They are more pesky than an ex-wife's attorney.

We always feed the ''begging burrors'' in Custer .  I believe it is ok to do so.  We take a sleave of Zesta Saltines along with us for that purpose.
Note.    On your way back thru the Bad Lands you can ''dry camp'' in the park.  just look on the info sheet and the camping is like three dollars if you got a ''senior pass''.  We always stay there when we go thru the Badlands.    also, go up the the gift shop/resterant and get your self an Indian Taco and an AlkaSelser.    Really good combination..lol..
We love SD and have been there many times ........
If you get a chance go by the Battle of the Little Big Horn and listen to the ranger and the indian guy give their talk..  It is really good and worth the time and travel to do this.  Be sure and ask the Indian about the Mutilation of the soldiers after the battle.  I think you can take a bus tour out there now also..
Enjoy SD..... its great .....
