The mounting screws worked loose on the shroud to our Emerson 1350 Quiet Cool roof A/C unit, and the remoteness of our eastern Oregon location makes finding a replacement rather difficult. Plus, they aren't even made any more I understand, so I'll probably be settling for a salvage yard replacement at best.

But the dimensions would appear to suggest the possibility of making my own - a pretty common Rubbermaid garbage can - and some other similar large container items - seem well suited in size and shape to make a decent outer shroud, as long as it's properly trimmed to shape and reinforced.

Any thoughts as to where I might get the proper Emerson shroud - or perhaps input on "rolling my own"?
