The annual RV Forum Yellowstone Rally will be held July 2 though July 10, 2005 at the Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone, MT.  Telephone number for the park is 406-646-4466.

Darn, will miss it again as we will be in the sound area of WA.

BTW, will anyone be at the Newmar rally in Salem OR June 20 to 25??

Jim

We will be attending the Newmar rally in Salem! Looks like a great new park

We'll be somewhere close to the Montana Big Sky NKK.  THere will be a banner to that effect somewhere cloe to our MH as I am the current president and have to carry the banner!  VBG

I'll also have a Yahoo Newmar Sign in the window with our names on it.

Well I see the Rally Meister has not posted any status so I'll jump in.

We're enjoying.

Thanks for posting that Joel. Will the rallymeister be posting a rally report later? Any outdoor photos of Grizzly? Might be interesting for folks who haven't been there.

Any day trips planned?

Tom,

Ditto!

Food Report: Dining out in West Yellowstone is less expensive than dining out in Moab.

Driving Report: Roads here are less dusty than Moab.

Photo Report: It's as easy to take hundreds of tourist photos here as it is in Moab.

People Report: People here are as nice as the people in Moab.

All of the above is fine, except Yellowstone is a two day drive from Phoenix while Moab (or next years destination, Capital Reef) can be done in one day.

Have a good time.

btw, last week we went to Silver City, NM and then Las Cruces, NM. We like the year round weather in Silver City, but there wasn't enough there for us. Las Cruces is a really nice small city - it has real potential. On the way home we stopped at Tucson for a few nights.

Campgrounds:
Silver City:  Rose Valley, on the rustic side but really nice, large site, good separation ($25/night)

Las Cruces: Hacienda, Wants to be very upscale, but fails. Most sites are side by side opposite direction (like the old shared hookups), but free Breakfest and newpaper. ($34/night)

Tucson  at Beaudry's. This is an RV Resort. Includes coffee and rolls Tuesday thru Saturday, Sunday and Monday you get an Omelet Breakfest  (14.95 per night)

All had good fifty amp power. Last two included cable and phone (Hacienda was free for up to twenty minutes per call while Beaudry's was 50 cents per call, time unlimited).

I think in August we may go to San Diego for a week

You forgot to mention the campground costs almost 2 times more per night than Moab. ;D

OK, Ron,

Campground report: The Grizzly RV Park is a "10" rated park that is well worth the few extra pennies that it costs.  ;D

Weather Report: It's been in the mid 70's all week but is supposed to get warmer Friday then cool off by Sunday.

Fireworks Report: Outstanding!

Say!  Were some of those people topless?  If so, coords please?  ;D

Smoky,

Tops are optional.  The swimming hole is on the Firehole River drive near the Madison Junction on the west side of Yellowstone Park.  About 25 minutes from the west entrance.

Joel went back there twice so he may have some better pics.  :)
