Solar charging toad
« on: October 06, 2012, 06:53:28 AM »
I was looking at the post about charging the toad car from the MH and saw mention of someone using a solar panel to charge the toad battery.  Since I do this with our boat (and have one) I was wondering if anyone is doing this and how it was working out?  I would do this with a 2012 CRV.

The small solar panels you can fit on a car dashboard won't provide much amperage - typically less than 1 amp/hr even in full sun. Whether it is sufficient depends on the power the toad is using.  And whether you have a toad brake that requires battery power as well.
