NORCOLD FRIG REPLACEMENT KNOB
« on: October 14, 2012, 03:07:40 PM »
I AM WORKING ON AN OLD MALLARD TRAILER JUST FOR TAKING TO MUSIC FESTS. MAKES ME APPRECIATE OUR NEW KEYSTONE 38 FOOTER EVEN MORE. WHAT I AM MISSING, AND HAVE SEARCHED LIKE CRAZY TO FIND IS THE MODE CONTROL KNOB FOR GAS TO ELECTRIC ON THE NORCOLD 875EG2 FRIG. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS? HAVE GOOGLED UNTIL I AM BLUE IN THE FACE. THE NEEDLE NOSE THING IS A PAIN.
IF ANYBODY HAS THIS KNOB FROM AN OLD UNIT I WOULD MAKE IT WORTHWHILE TO PART WITH IT. THE SHAFT HAS TO BE AT LEAST 1" LONG WITH THE D STYLE OPENING. THE OUTER DIAMETER IS 3/4".
THANKS FOR A GREAT FORUM.

A few suggestions:

Have you tried calling Norcold?

You could try one of the salvage places. Click the Resources button above and scroll down to RV Parts & Salvage.

Have you tried a RadioShack store? They won't have a fancy Norcold knob, but they carry a decent selection of knobs about that size. You'll need to know the shaft diameter.
