Can I flat tow a 2000 Ford Explorer 5.0 Automatic AWD?
My 2001 Winnebago Adventurer 32V came with a Falcon tow bar. All of my Internet searching says no, except for references to using Remco driveshaft disconnect and front axle disconnect.
It appears that Remco may no longer be in business.
Can this be done, or should I look for a different towed vehicle?
I already own my Explorer, so that's why I would go to the trouble.

Thanks,
Tony

I too have a '97 Explorer 5.0 AWD.
I reviewed the manual and it says NO to towing flat or even on a dolly.

I wish I had my '91 Explorer with a real 4X4. Just put it in neutral and tow away.

Remco is still in business with a web site right here.  But they don't show an Explorer model for 2000 but do show it for 2001.
