foam insulation , Winter camping in Colorado

Well not sure exactly what you mean.But we fulltime in Kansas and have got down to 6 degrees and our water line has not froze we use a Heat Tape with foam and wrapped with pipe insulation.

We let the water trickle when it gets below 25 degrees and run the furnace to keep the underbelly warm.Been doing this for our second winter with no problems yet.
 
We were down to 18F the other night. Left the water trickling and were fine with no insulation on the hose.
I don't recommend this method, but it worked this time.

From what I hear most people use heat tape and some insulation to be safe. I know of some who never hook up a hose and only use their water tank/pump system.
