Well several of  us had said good byes this morning and headed different directions!

My group of 4 rigs (  Jerry/Ardra, Barb/Frank, Henry/Margarite and Terry/Betty)  headed toward Searchlight for a yummy lunch at  the Nugget Searchlight Casino.  Onward through Las Vegas for a fuel stop at Travel America. Dropped off Jerry and ARdra who returned to their Las Vegas home to meet up with us in  2 days in Death Valley.

Final destination today,  Lakeside Casino and  RV Park in Pahrump, NV.  This is a beautiful RV park and happily we are parked right across from the laundry.  We were in a cleaning frenzy this afternoon ridding our rigs, clothes and shelves of Quartzsite dirt.  Walking and breakfast is on the morning schedule and  grocery shopping. Dinner at a Steakhouse will  be highlights of tomorrow.

So please keep us posted on the activities of those of you who stayed !

After several members left, we drove to Vicksburg Junction to have lunch at the Kofa Cafe, where many of our original members have enjoyed quite a few meals. The cafe has not changed much but the intersection of Rt. 60 & 72 now has a Roundabout! We had a very long wait since two large groups had arrived just before we got there. The place was packed and the two groups numbered around 30 people so we had to wait for all of them to be served first.

The General Store in Brenda is up for sale and Desert Gold has lots of park models now. Looks really crowded. Not the same campground where we stayed in the late 1990's with many Forum Framily.  :(

The clouds were fairly low but created a very scenic sky. Sunset was not nearly as good as last night but Bob & I were out there, along with others, to try to capture it.

Ray & Liza were kind enough to provide us with a lighted lightning rod in case of a bad storm. Bob might be a little under the weather but he still looks pretty good!  ;D

Attached are a few photos.

We were sad to see many leave, but we still "rallied" on with happy hour at 4 pm and can you believe it....more food.

The weather cleared up; but was brisk and cool.  We made our normal garbage run in the morning and several went back to the RV tent and vendors during the day.

This morning (Monday) dawned sunny with a bright blue sky.  We have planned a hike at 1:00 pm to the pictographs in the wash; and another happy hour at 4.

As Betty says:  "life is good.....especially with sunshine".

Marsha~

It was good to get home and empty the holding tanks but then I could always use one more trip to the tent and another day in the desert......

Margarite and I will do a walk this morning at  8:30 am.  Trouble is the  temp is 34  outside.  I think we will likely walk very fast!

Marsha,

Thanks for the heads up on the step not retracting as we were leaving.  First time that has happened.

The sun may be shining here in the desert, but with the wind, it's smegging cold !

Bill,

I had a problem once with the step on my CC Intrigue. It would go part way in and stop. A friend had to push it in with his leg until we got to a dealer to have it repaired. It was the connector underneath the wheel well powering the step. It had gotten corroded and had to be cleaned up.

A few more of these beautiful desert sunsets . . .

Jim,
Thanks, will be parked at a friends lot in Foothills in a few days and will give the whole system a good cleaning.

A few picks of the potluck, Jeff looks mischievous. Did I catch him eating something he shouldn't? The clouds are here in Pahrump the evening we arrived. I spent $20 to win $14 last nite before a great steak dinner with Margaret, Frank, Barb, Betty and Terry.

Terrie and I made it down for our first Quartzsite trip.  On short notice we had friends riding in from both the bay area and Wickenburg, Ariz. so we stayed on Dome Rock Rd. where it'd be easy for them to find us.

Good thing.  I left the gps coordinates at one of the fast food stops on the way down and so we weren't sure where the RV Forum group was staying other than Plomosa Rd.  We did drive out there on Sun. afternoon and tried as I might, to remember the video that Bob had posted previously....we just couldn't find the group.  We did meet a lot of people out there, though.

I also snapped a few pics from our trip down and back.....

If you were up at Plomosa Road, it's no wonder you didn't the RV Rally group - we were down south of town at La Posa Tyson Wash :)

Rut-roohhhh....so much for my memory.  ;)

I did see La Posa Rd. as we headed down to Yuma for the day.  So close yet so far away........

Six of us hiked up Q Mountain today.  Two of the Stoudt sisters, Janet and Terry, Doug and Sheryl, Shirley and I.  Sheryl found the geocache up there while the rest of us took pictures or just enjoyed the view.  Here's a couple of pictures.

Happy Hour is still going strong!  A few are leaving tomorrow but there will still be some here until Friday.
