I am cross posting this in the Remodeling forum, as well, but maybe someone else knows a few things about slides? specifically with regard to how the slide will slide over a new floor.
After weeks of reading and thinking, we tore out the carpet in back bunk room and bought 5/16" 'floating style' laminate boards and a foam barrier for underneath. The board fits a lot more snug than I anticipated, so now I am nervous.
The question i have now: is the slide action going to mark up the floor? Should we adjust the bolts outside that control the level of the extended slide?
**Note: it was a conscious decision not to get a vinyl flooring because It would require a new subfloor and adhesive fumes would be a problem for me.
