Cold Front at sea!

In case you ever wondered, this is what happens when a strong cold front blows off the gulf coast. Unfortunately few of these birds will survive. They will keep trying to fly against the wind until exhausted then land on the ship and soon die. It's part of the cycle of life but still a bit sad. We currently have several hundred birds onboard, from hummingbirds to large cranes and everything in between.

That's interesting Cap'n Steve!  Here's what a cold front looks like over land as I chase it.  I drove from Texas to Boston and I would catch up to this front every day.  I would stop at night and it would blow over, and the next day I would catch up to it again.  What an interesting trip.
