Hello guys,
I?m new in the forum and I want to say hello and show you pics from our last trip to the South of Chile. We visited Lago Rango, Conguill?o, Huilo-Huilo and Caburgua. We travelled with 2 other friend families on rental motorhomes. Was a great experience and allows me to know better our Antiqua 235 QBB. I?m very happy with this unit!
regards to all!
Patricio

It looks like a wonderful place to camp! Welcome to the forum.

Steve

Thanks Steve! Great place. My country has a lot of great places! Mountain, sea, desert, lakes!

This is the place: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=lago+ranco&hl=es&ie=UTF8&ll=-40.380028,-72.421875&spn=40.647363,56.513672&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=42.360237,56.513672&hnear=Lago+Ranco,+Provincia+del+Ranco,+Regi%C3%B3n+de+Los+R%C3%ADos,+Chile&t=m&z=4

I wish it was not such a long and dangerous drive to get my coach down there. It would be a great place to explore and meet friends that I have yet to meet!!

More RVing from Chile  :)

It looks very pretty down there!  What do you call that crustacean?  Is it a lobster or a crab?  They must be fun to handle with all those spines!  Happy New Year.

ArdraF

Patricio, I tried to use Google Maps, but couldn't, to see just how far apart we live, I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, which is on the Atlantic at about the 43rd parallel north, and you are on the Pacific at about the 40th south.  That makes us about a half world apart, yet we share a common interest in RVing.
Welcome to the forum, it is highly unlikely my wife and I will ever RV to south America, but if you ever come north we must meet for a meal.  And Ardra, that is a crab, even though it is quite spinney. lobster are shaped quite differently, with 2 large claws and an edible tail.
Welcome to the forum, please keep in touch.

Ardra,

That looks like a hard shell crab to me.

I wonder what the pricing is on rental rv's in Chile?

The fee for rent a Class C per example is USD 200/day. Regards!

Hi Patricio,

It's been a very long time since I last visted your country. I stayed mainly in Con Con, Vina del Mar and Santiago. I also visted Cerro Tololo and the observatory there.

Thanks for posting your photos and sharing your RV experience with us. I'd love to return to Chile again! Do keep us informed of your adventures in your wonderful country.

Where do you live?
