campgounds near pensacola florida

Would like to receive suggestions for campgrounds in or near Pensacola, Fl. for October.

I buddy of mine camped somewhere near the Naval Air Station once. He had great pics. He was so close to the Air Station that in some of the pics of his 5ver, there was one of those decomissioned jets in the background about 75ft away, so he had to be REAL close. I'll ask him what the name of the site was and pass it along.

Otherwise, here's a nice little site that me and DW use for finding nice unbiased review on camprounds. Nice interface on the site with maps, reviews, and links to the campground's website.

After takling to my bud, he was "kinda" close to Pensecola. He was near Destin about an hour and a half east of Pensecola along the Gulf. He stayed at the Topsail Hill Reserve State Park. He said it was beautiful! W/S/E at everysite... all slabs... right on the beach.... over 170 sites with pull throughs... do a Google on it and check it out. I wouldn't mind staying here myself. Looks Great!
