At long last, the incessant Minnesota winter seems to be behind us. I've just been able to de-winterize this week; busy checking out where everything is and how it works on our new (used) MH.
Happy to report only minor issues, all resolved.
Short bout of panic when I filled the fresh water tank to sanitize. Water was pouring out the bottom of the chassis. Then I found the open ball valve next to the tank. duh..
Anxious to roll it out this weekend, but it's only for one night at a casino 50 miles away. Need to get back for a big gathering on mothers day.
Oh well.... it's a start.
 
Bob....Hope your first outing goes well. What casino are you going to? We go to Hinckley when in MN.
 
Hinckley is also my casino of choice, but the Queen wants to go hear Engelbert Humperdink Engeldink Humperbert....  or whatever his name is. I agreed to go as long as blackjack is part of the weekend. Heck... I'd go hear 'Winslow Schmuckley and the Pickled Turnups' if it meant taking the MH out for the weekend.... ;D ;D
 
I take a hunnerd bucks and consider it an evenings entertainment. Usually close to breaking even, give or take 20. Watching the people at the tables all stressed out in search of serious cash are part of the evenings entertainment... ;D
 
Supposed to be 40mph gusts tomorrow. Ugh.
All set up! So far, so good. i didnt even take out any other rigs parking in my spot. I'm sittin here on the power recliner with my feet up listening to Dave Matthews. Ahhhh...
How long does it take this Norcold fridge to get cold? Got 50 amp.

You are in MN. You don't need a fridge! Just set your beer outside. Oh wait...you sent your cold weather to us. 8)
 
Not true!! We have frost warnings sat. Night through sun. Am! I think those darn Canadians are to blame not us Minnesowtens donchaknow.......
Further update... The MH is performing wonderfully. It's operators on the other hand..........
The queen forgot to pack the pork chops. Was hoping to try out the new portable grill. Then she lost her credit card in the casino. Currently watching a movie with that spiffy surround sound.
We're making a long list of additional permanent items in the hope that pre-trip preparation is not quite so disorganized.

After 2 1/2 years of RVing, I have the loading time cut down to 2 hours.  ;D ;D ;D Seems like the more I get to keep in the RV the more I need to take :-\

I still don't know exactly how that happens.

By the way, when I first started RVing it took about two hours to load out, I must be doing something wrong here! :eek:
 
Not just the pork chops. The queen was going to stock the pantry with skillets and cookware from the house, and replace the house stuff with new. She forgot that too! Ever make scrambled eggs in the microwave with a coffee mug?  :eek:. Shoulda left her at the gas station.....
Another small problem - shower fixture was leaking badly. Would have filled the grey tank in a matter of hours. Dodged another bullet thanks to this forum. Found the replacement cartridge as moen #1222. Quick trip to Lowes. 30 bucks and 15 minutes later had the problem solved.
As I'm typing this, just found out the show has been cancelled. Engelbert is ill.
It can only get better from here!

Bob, call Moen customer service and tell them about your problem.  They won't replace your money, but should send you a replacement that can be a spare or you might be able to return it to Lowes with your original receipt.
 
All sounds like it is going well! No dents, dings or tow trucks involved. It's what we call a successful trip!! ;D ;D ;D

You betcha. Google Egg Mug Recipes and you'll find tons of recipes for scrambled eggs in the microwave. Hungry Girl has lots of them....good, fast, healthy.
