This weekend we had our first night in our TT.  Our boys (ages 5 and 7) were quite excited and can't wait to sleep in it again tonight.  For this trip we decided to stay close to home.. in fact, we stayed home.  Camping in our driveway.  It's not quite real, cuz we didn't use the fridge or pack any food/clothes. But it did help identify things we'll not want to forget.

2 weeks from now we'll actually be going to the KOA in Wisconsin Dells.  Very excited about that.  Can't wait to make more mistakes in front of other people.. why keep them to myself!

Camping in the driveway is a great way to practice. It's also a great place to stay on the first night of a long trip....you can run in and grab anything you forgot before you get too far away.

We have stayed at that KOA many times. We are from Marshfield. lots of fun stuff to do in campground and also in town.
Have lots of fun.. 8)

Thanks.  We did have a really good time at the Dells KOA, though in reality we spent most of our time outside of the campground..

We've now been to two different parks, and we're starting to mentally journal the the appealing attributes of different parks.  The Dells KOA was very well run. It was organized and felt very 'clockwork'.  This weekend we stayed at Harbour Village outside of Egg Harbor in Door County.

HV is much more kid-centric.  It's also is pretty huge.  And while we didn't have any problems getting our site - we felt a little spoiled by the Dells KOA, because someone led us to the site and helped us get lined up the best way. They also came by and picked up trash throughout the day.  HV didn't provide any of that.  All in all, though, we would definitely go back to HV, since our children are young.
