Ken Sheila and Ardra. Monkey will stay in U S and A for the time of my absence. He don't like to go through Australian quarantine. Olga and I have great 2 days with Steve and Dee in LA. They are great hosts. I am still waiting for confirmation e-mail for my booking from Portal. Hope that the girl understood my poor English when I called them.

Are there some rallies prior to Moab? Something on the way there?
And I will maybe hire Jeep for one day, but no way I will buy one lol.
Cheers Jan and Olga

Thanks Ardra. We will put it in to consideration. I hope that there will be good shows in Vegas again. We don't like to gamble, but love to visit the theatres in hotels. On the way back from Moab we have seen Group Human Nature in Venetian and just love it. So on the way to this Moab rally we would like to do the same.
Cheers my American friends, see you in 9 months again.

Glad you and Margaret will be able to join us again in Moab.  By then the fishing pole will probably be attached to your hand permanently!  ;)

Hi, Ardra!
We are in the Yukon, so communicating, except by e-mail, is difficult.  However, I have put in our application for a reservation in Moab by e-mail.  I hope it works.  It would be good to see you and everyone again.  We saw another blue motorhome on this trip.

Great, Linda!  Let us know when you're confirmed and I'll add you to the list.

Re, the Yukon.  Back when we were there many years ago there were no communications except hard-wired telephones.  No cell service at all.  Hasn't changed much!

Hi Steve!  I've added you to my list.  Glad you'll be there.

Jan, no we do not have a new Jeep.  We still have the Acura MDX - drove it yesterday on the Ridge near Quartzsite.  Chet & Laurie got a new Jeep Grand Cherokee this week and have already broken it in on the Ridge.  How's monkey?

Ardra monkey can't wait to see you again. Only 3 months to go. We are starting in Vegas and after 3 parks with the group. Not sure where to go next, but will make decision on that in Moab. I am sure that some of you will give me good idea.

I've been reading all about the Moab, UT rally and all the fun it is generating with the Jeep modifications and so forth so after thinking about it for quite a while, we just made reservations at the Portal RV Park, Doug said site 31 or 32 in the Campground section....it is only partial hookups, no sewer. We will only be there from the 11th to the 15th, since we have plans following those dates.

This will give me an excuse to get my '05 TJ up to snuff with some cools modifications (I see some Poison Spyder, Skyjacker, and other  components in my Jeep's future). I won't be doing any of the more technical trails, since it has been a while since I've done any off-roading , and my Jeep is basically stock with a winch (up till now). But I'd love to join in in all the fun you folks are having with this rally.

Sounds great.  Looking forward to meeting you.  The group is great and they do trails of all ratings, shapes and sizes over the period of the rally.  Personally, I am not one to beat on my Jeep so although it is built to do much more extreme trails, I usually end up doing more moderate and slightly difficult rated trails.

Welcome to the Moab rally, John and Susan.  I've added your name to the attendees list and will be updating it online one of these days.  Some of us don't have really heavy duty 4x4s and are content with the easier trails, so don't worry about it.  We usually start out with some easier trails for those who are new to Moab and then work up to more difficult ones.

And, don't forget, there also are some neat hikes we do in Arches and there are other things to see around Moab that any car can do.

Yes, it sounds like a lot of fun. I read all about it last year, and as I have been reading the posts for the past few months I've been interested in attending. We'll be looking forward to meeting everyone, and having a "Jeep" of a good time.
