The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Wish we could have been with you all, but it wasn't in the cards for us. Enjoyed following along through the reports and many photos - thanks!

Reminds me we need to get the photos uploaded to our photo gallery.

I proffer the same thoughts as Tom and look forward to being back with the group next year in Texas. But even before that, I'm looking forward to Catalina.

Happy and healthy trails to all of you until then.

Randy

Jan we are all richer for having met you and Olga. See you soon.

Margaret and I had a great time with our new framily. Enjoyed meeting new friends and old. We had a mishap on the way to Ely. About 40 miles east of Ely we threw a fan belt about 2:00 pm and arrived in Ely on the back of a flatbed truck about 8:00pm. Hopefully tomorrow and can find the parts to get us back on the road.

That sucks Henry.  Sorry to hear about that.

We pulled out of Portal about 9:30 am, stopped in Green River for fuel and pulled into our driveway @ approx. 2:15pm.  Got the coach and trailer unloaded, washed and the coach parked back in the driveway and the trailer hooked up to the truck ready to put back into storage today by around 5:00 last night.

We were exhausted last night but Chrystal and I reminisced and talked about the amazing rally we had and how much we are looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Mike.

Henry,

Sorry about the problems. Breaking down on the road is never fun. Hope your back on the road today.

We overnighted in a " free" spot (KMart Parking lot) in Craig, Colorado. I estimate it cost  the  2 of us rigs over $100 but we got some really cool and needed stuff.  I got a call from Chris Pennings at 9 pm.  He drove 600 miles to Barstow.  He stopped in Beaver and got 4 new tires for his Jeep.

We're off early this morning for Douglas WY.

Laurie, my cousin Karen and I all had a great time in Moab. Karens says thanks to all for her great welcome to the group and she has a totally new prospective on RVs and the life style. Her word for the week is "AWSOME".

The highlight of our week was the 50 mile jet boat trip down the Colorado River to the confluence with the Green River and back. It was an all day trip and you get a totally different view of the wonderful scenery. The rain last weekend sure made the wild flowers along the river pop out. The guide said he has been making the river run for 20 years and he is seeing more flowers this year and even some he has never seen before. Along the way we stopped several times drifted and went ashore and did a short hike up to some indian ruins and visited the grotto.

The GROTTO is a natural amphitheater that has incredible acoustics. Every SEP there is a music festival where they take a grand piano down river and set it up in the grotto. Musicians come and there are several concerts held there. Attendance is limited to about 200 and the cost of a ticket is $300+.

Karen & I had a great time! We enjoyed meeting everyone and making new friends. We are already talking about being back for the October Rally. We leave today for Capitol Reef and then Bryce Canyon and points yet unknown.

Cheers & best wishes to all,

Mike & Karen

We feel really sorry for Margaret and Henry. You guys have lot of bad luck this season. I should lend you my lucky monkey for this journey guys.

What a great rally.  All of you have made us feel such a part of this great "framily".  We actually made our early departure on time.  We had great company for our first 2 hours as Chet asked us to drop Karen off in Grand Junction, which we were happy to do.  We made it to our wedding near Aspen in plenty of time.  We can not express how lucky we feel to have made the Rv forum connection.  We would have missed so much had we never clicked on the link that brought us to all of you.  That you for the fun and the memories, especially driving John's jeep!  :D  We look forward to the time we all meet again and we meet new forum framily.  Thanks again for a terrific adventure.

Safe and happy travels to all!

Steve & Dee

P.S. KOA Crystal River campground in Carbondale, CO is pretty nice.  Riverfront sites.

We had so much fun and loved seeing everyone again.  It was as though we had never left. Thank you all for all the laughs and great memories which I will treasure.

@Steve and Dee and Olga (and Jan) -- and our thanks to you for all the enthusiasm, good humor and friendship you bring to the Forum!
You all make the Forum a happier place!

Travel Safe! (+ly, for the grammar teachers)!

Don and Mary Ann

Thanks Jan, I guest I  should have given that monkey a ride to Texas. We are in the RV park in Ely behind the Prospectors Casino. We have full hook up and waiting for my belt that should arrive 8:00 am tomorrow morning.

Awesome pictures Chet.  Flowers are beautiful.  I noticed something in the third down picture.  On the far right looks like a man "sitting" on one of the layers of rock.  Or, is it a figment of my imagination.  :)  I've been told I have a big imagination.

Never did the boat trip, but thanks for outline it for us.

Daisy

I would lent monkey to Henry and Margaret knowing that he can be jinxed by Henry's good fortune lately. Hopefully this belt problem is last one for Henry
this Year.
Regarding the humor, We just checked in to Fountain Of Youth in Thermopolis Wyoming. Hot spa was emptied for clean and they started to fill the pool. Since we need all the youth (specially Olga) we can gain. We rushed to the pool and sit in to 5 inches of water. It looked bit strange and passing cars may  have had good lough. Olga don't look any younger after that. I will sent her to pool tomorrow again. We will stay here 2 days and after on the way to Yellow Stone.

We didn't get any younger, either, when we were there a couple of years ago.  :( ::) :(

Jon,

Laurie and I have stayed there several times. Didn't make us any younger either. I assume you will be going to Cody. Be sure to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody. Reserve a full day for it. When we have left Cody and went to Yellowstone, we go a little bit north and take the Chef Joseph Highway to the North East gate of Yellowstone. This is a much more scenic route and less traffic than the route west from Cody to the east gate. It is one of our most favorite drives.

Have a good time in Yellowstone.

I agree, IMHO it's the best scenic rout into or out of Yellowstone.
