I'm quoting Wayne on IRV2 who spoke with Seajay, "Seajay called me just a few minutes ago. Sad to say that they had to amputate his right leg above the knee. The surgery was done yesterday.
I said, "Wow! yesterday, are you in pain?" He replied, "Morphine is good."
It was a decision that he had to make. They told him that they could fuse the bones and his leg would be stiff. He had talked with some other amputees who informed him of the wonders of modern prosthetic equipment and he would be able to do just about anything except play football. He made the decision to remove the affected part.
Next is recovery and physical therapy, so if you have it in you say a prayer for a speedy recovery and back to a normal lifestyle.
God bless Seajay.
