Simple chord progression

This simple chord progression was used in many songs of the 60's:

C  Am  Dm  G7

One of my favorites is Elvis' Return To Sender. This is so easy to play that I can almost remember the chords  :-[

Singing is also easy, if you have a voice that's a couple of octaves higher than mine  :eek:

Ah, the famous I-VI-II-V progression. Yes. Used in a gazillion songs - especially in the fifties and sixties. In C, it's actually C-Am7-Dm7-G7.

Yes. Return to Sender, Blue Moon, This Boy (Beatles), Try a Little Tenderness (with variations), Breaking Up is Hard To Do,...
 
For us finger-challenged, my version is easier to play  ;)
