New Member - Solar Panel question
« on: July 11, 2013, 07:59:02 AM »
Hi all.

Just joined the RV Forum and am located in Salt Lake.

I currently own a 2007 178FD Zoom with a 2008 Sunsei SE8000 (8 amp) solar panel on the roof. My wife asked for a bit more room so I just purchased a 2011 Lance 1685.
I plan to sell the Zoom which is in great condition. Would I be better off to sell the Zoom with the Sunsei 8000 Solar panel left on it and have a new 8 amp solar panel installed on the lance;or, have the Sunsei 8000 & regulator transferred to the Lance and sell the Zoom without the Solar panel.

Paid about $1500 for the Sunsei + installation back in 2008.

Any thoughts on an asking price for the Zoom with & without the Solar Panel. Just replaced all tires last year. Would include an equalizer hitch.

If I get a new solar panel, what would you recommend since I'm sure a lot has changed in the Solar Panels since I checked them out in 2008.

I doubt if you would ever get back what you paid for the solar set up, or even close to it. I would move it to the new rig.
