Hi, Im new to rv'ing and I purchased a 25' 3500lb travel trailer. I have a older tahoe with a rebuilt 350ci 5.7 liter engine. should i be towing in HI4 or just in two wheel drive? sometimes it seems likes its under-powered on some grades. thanks in advance for any help.

Run in 2wd!

4wd will actually rob more power from you. 4wd is only for rough terrain where you need more traction because your tires are spinning. And 3500 pounds seems light for a 25' trailer. I'd take it to a truck scale and get it weighed, you'll probably be surprised.

thanks i will, but if it should be about 4,000lbs when i check it should a 1/2 ton be able to pull it?
