Having one of those plastic screen door sliders that always falls out is a delight!
Thought it was worn and compared it with a new slider. The new part was even narrower. That will be a great solution!
With a heat gun i gently heated the top and bottom inside bent edges, then with the slide laying face down on the bench I heated the outside of the top and bottom bent edges while gently pushing down to spread the edges apart. Stopped heating and maintained pressure till cooled. Careful.......you only need approx 1/4". You can always add more. The slide fits like new and doesn't fly open if bumped.
