Does anyone know of a mail forwarding service where they collect your mail and then scan and email it to you?  It seems like this would work best for me to make sure that nothing is missed but can easily be deleted and would avoid the additional postage costs.  Thanks.

A quick Google search for "mail forwarding service with scanning" gives lots of results. One of them is http://travelingmailbox.com/. I have not personally used one and do not know any who have, but I have seen some mentioned on other forums (Escapees). Good luck in your search.

I seem to recall a service called "Earth Mail" that did that.. They scanned the envelopes, then depending on your instructions, Fed them to a shredder, Forewarded them or as I recall scanned the contents and e-mailed them to you.    Never used it.

I have been using Mail Link in Las Vegas for the last ten years and I can recommend them without reservation. Nevada is a great state to have your domicile. No state income tax, cheap vehicle registration and very cheap insurance.

But the important point is what state will be your domicile? You will want your mail box to be in the state that is your domicile.

We have used www.MyRVMail.com for the last two years.  They list the return addresses for all mail on line.  You can then decide if you want it trashed, scanned or forwarded.  No extra charge for trash, $2.50 per piece (up to 10 pages I think) for scanning and additional postage for forwarding.

So far, in two years, we have had 1 piece scanned and packages forwarded about 5 times.  We have set up all of our normal bills/statements for on-line payment so we don't get very much mail and most of what we do get is junk.

Once I called them and had them open the envelope and fax it to me.  They did not charge me for that.  There is a "set-up" fee with a Passport America discount and a monthly fee and, of course, postage for forwarding.

They are located in Crestview, FL.  There are a nice group of folks that work there and they are always very helpful.

We use http://mydakotaaddress.com/; they also send me emails with return address info about everything we receive.  Any items I want to see quickly are scanned and emailed often the same day.  They are in Madison SD and we have been very pleased with them.

Wow! Thanks guys for all the responses.  I will be reading through all of those options today.  Sounds like I should have no problem finding what I need.
