Ooops!  Jerry and Ardra arrived this afternoon in time for happy hour.

Friday was Bill Danes 80th Birthday so at Happy Hour we presented him with a Mini Birthday Cake with one Big Candle and we all sang Happy Birthday to him.

Again, thanks for the help with the arrivals - I believe I have all 21 posted as of the 17th.

If anyone at the rally is reading this and your name isn't marked as arrived, please let me know here.

To print the list: Here's how I do it from Internet Explorer 11:

1. Highlight the entire list.

2. Click File | Print Preview

3. Stay with "1 page view" from the 1st drop down list.

4. Select "As selected on screen" from the 2nd drop down list.

5. I used 60% from the 3rd drop down list.

6. Click the Print Doc button.

If the print is too small you can mess with the settings for 2 pages or for whatever works for you.

Nice reading that you are all having a great time even before the rally begins. Betty thanks for the input - and I hope you feel better soon. Was at Kaiser today and noticed that all staff check folks in were wearing masks. The Flu thing is bad right now in this area. Even I have been wiping grocery baskets and washing my hands more than usual. Henry - thanks for checking names again. Will look forward to the pictures from the Desert Bar. There is also a Desert Bar at the Tyson Wells area - of sorts.  :)

Bob,

So sorry you won't be at QZ. Hope your condition improves quickly. We won't be there either but friends, who work at Yellowstone, might stop by to say hi. Some members may have met them when they visited us at Old Faithful. Their names are Jeff & Pat Hansen. Pat was our South District Assistant Manager for the past two years. They are in QZ now.

The LaJuene's have arrived. We are staying on Plamosa Road and have been visiting those at the RVforum campsite. We plan on doing many of the group activities by driving in. Pot luck, refrigerator seminar, off-road trip, happy hours, etc etc. We will be there tomorrow, Sunday the 19th to meet everyone that we haven't met so far.

I would think a person of that stature would deserve a cake a day for 80 days, but then that might be wishful thinking. Maybe that's a fire hazard, though.... 8)

Happy Birthday, Bill!  ;)

Oh gee...Dwight and Burnetta arrived on the 16th (haven't been on the computer since arriving). Still looking for our name badges but if all else fails we'll be visiting the "two crazy ladies" today.

If you do see the Two Crazy Ladies, say hi from Ned and Lorna.  We do miss seeing them.

At 80, you can't  stand all the calories and other bad stuff in that many cakes.  I have a feeling if I get to be 80 again I might only get a tiny sliver as Pat will be controlling my diet closely after this last week!  :)

A bunch of us headed north this morning for lunch at The Desert Bar. It's an institution in these parts, open only on Saturday and Sunday in the winter. Very interesting place including a funny church and a ladies restroom with a spectacular view. Thank you Henry for leading us out here. Hopefully someone will post some pictures. Most of us even made it back for Happy Hour.

We have fond memories of the Desert Bar.  They served a Bloody Mary so hot I had to cut it with some of Tom's beer.  Mmmm. :)  A new drink was born.  ;D

I saw Linda and Dean Stock arrive well after dark last night.  Seems I  had given her directions to Quartzsite that were  a bit "Off".  All is well however because they stopped at RedEarth Casino and the rest of the story is hers to tell!
She said we are still friends!

Linda is at the rally?  Yipee! I'm anxious to hear of their adventure to get there, Linda tells a good story!

It seems like we might need to change the date of the "Open House" as it could conflict with Terry's Ridge Ride Jeep trip.  Since the "Open House" is a new event, I'm not even sure folks are interested.  So if you are, would you let me know.  If we don't have enough interest, we can try again next year.

Tim and I will be arriving on Wednesday as we are getting stuff done here in Palm Springs.  Along with Betty's new inverter available for viewing, we can add our new front A/C-heat pump to check out.  Now the front unit matches the back unit and they are both much quieter than the old style.

At the moment we are tackling an air leak in the water pump, seems the pump likes to come on at random times day and night which is driving Tim crazy.  No water drips/leaks anywhere, but just this annoying "eeerrrrr" sound.  ;D  Then on Monday, we have someone coming to possibly put a new awning on over the door.  All of this in attempt to push down the burning desire to buy a new 2014 40' Allegro Phaeton that seems to be pulling at my heart strings.

I'll be the first to sign up for the "Open House" not just because we have all these new fangle things; but because we had our entire front living area redone; removing the couch and booth, adding credenzas and a built in wine rack....oh and new MCD shades!

Marsha~

I changed the Open House on the Schedule Board to Thursday morning. How about after the morning walk ?

Yes, Linda is here, I saw her with my own eyes or I wouldn't believe it. However, Marsha, you'll either have to come early or take our word for it as they are leaving on Wednesday.

Marsha, we had an intermittent pump turn on about two weeks ago.  Do you have a water purifier at the kitchen sink?  Ours turned out to be a small leak at the water purifier handle which meant the tank needed to keep filling.  Jerry put something on it (lubricant?) and it went away.

Marsha,

We have a very slow drip from the bathroom sink faucet. That will cause the pump to come on ever so briefly after quite a long time. You could also have a very small leak in the plumbing, perhaps the hot water heater. The connections can be hard to see so one could overlook them. It doesn't take a big leak and the drip may dry up before you investigate.
