I have a 1974 minne winnie. I have taken some of the foam board down on the inside and it looks like the roof is just straight foam board to the alum. roof. Thinking about replacing the back 8' and front 4' with plywood while using the existing alum roof it has. Looks pretty simple as there is not to much up there already. Just looking for any tips as I take this on. Also, when I remove the alum roof and take out the foam board where I need, will there be a metal bracket around the entire rv that I can put the plywood on or how is it held up now?

Any info would be great, thanks in advance!

I used pl-premium and 3/8 plywood glued to the aluminum. That was how mine was manufactured. They also used batt type insulation but I replaced with 1 1/2" SM foam board. between the 2x2 beams and 1/8" white pressboard for the finish. It was a very good repair and not too costly at all. I have pics on my worklog titled "A New Frontier"  Good luck SNO
