I'm heading down to Castaic Lake near Santa Clarita, CA tomorrow for the weekend of camping and fishing with family and friends. 
Last week I went fishing at Diaz Lake near Lone Pine, CA but the weather was very windy and the lake was rough so I didn't get out fishing until 4am Sunday morning and caught two small bass. I'm hoping for better luck this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes when we return.
