In June Australia's AVIDA announced the release of the Esperance Disability RV. Although a few years back they had prepared a larger RV that could handle someone in a wheelchair this is a much better development and has been designed to not just handle wheelchairs but access scooters as well.

I don't know what's available off the shop floor in America but this is certainly a limited market in Australia and up until now a person wanting a vehicle that would allow them to travel even if they were bound to a wheelchair or access scooter meant that they had how the vehicles specially modified for them. This one is built from the ground up ready to handle their needs and so is a great development and a step forward.

The first video in this list shows off the new disability access RV. The others will show off various aspects of the AVIDA range.

Note: AVIDA Is the Trading Name for Winnebago Australia. There is absolutely no connection with Winnebago America even though they share the same name.
