We just purchased a used pop-up truck camper and want to hook it up to a battery. We are new to all of this. The camper has a round 4 pole connection. We know we need to purchase a deep cell battery but are unsure how to get it all connected. We just want to be able to use the water pump and heater when not connected to electricity. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

TLI too little information. Is the connector from trailer to the tow vehicle, if so this is trailer lights turn signals and will not supply power to the trailer or charge trailer battery. There is likely a battery box and converter some place in the trailer.

Do you mean a truck camper mounted on the bed of a pickup or a towed popup camping trailer?

Is it a manufactured unit? If so most units will have provisions for a battery of some sort.
