How do I find rallies in my area? we in Louisiana and have never heard of them around here.

Many rallies are sponsored by one of the big 3 RV groups.
1: For MOTOR HOME OWNERS ONLY: FMCA (Familly Motor Coach Assn)
2: For all RVers.. Escapees
3: For all again: Good Sam's (AKA Camping World partner)
Google the name for contact info, and often a link to the area rallies.
Internet family groups like IRV2, This forum and the like also hold a rally or two. Well published on the forum.. Ham Radio RV net has a rally every year as well. but .. See the HAM RADIO.. all are welcome but radio tends to be a topic of discussion.
Then there is the big one.. Quartsite,
Many of those (IE: Quartsite) will not be all that close to you.

In addition to John's comments, most RV clubs have their own rallies. For example, I used to have a Trailmanor TT, and belong to the local branch of the Trailblazers (Nat'l org). They're such great folks, I still belong and attend some of their rallies, even though it's been over three years since I had a Trailmanor. So check out local clubs, clubs for your RV make, etc., in addition to those orgs that John mentioned.
