Hey everyone Im new to the bus world and boy can it be over whelming.

I bought a carpenter bus. It has a 350 V8 gas motor and the body was "Delivered" in 1975 thats all I really know.

Im assuming it on a p30 Forward Control chassis but my VIN doesnt make any sense. Its TPY3253600600 can anyone give me a VIN break down?

Also it really needs all new brakes are the buses the same as step vans or motorhomes? I cant seem to find a p30 on parts websites just p25 or p35.

Any help would be great!

Most RV manufacturers added their own VIN as well as the chassis manufacturer's VIN which is normally used on the registration. Is that where you got the number?

The Chevrolet P-30 (or P-32) was built from 1973-1999 so that should be the referenced body model.

That's the GM vin number. It has a carpenter bus body but im positive that's the vin that gmc put on the vehicle.  I just can't find a vin breakdown that works completely with that vin.
