We have narrowed our search down and really like the Joey Select 296.  I was wondering if any one had good or bad experiences with the brand.

Thanks!

We have a 2012 Layton Joey 253 and since purchase last year have really enjoyed it. Just took it in for a couple of minor fixes and one "sort of" major one. The black tank and grey tank dump lines got switched somehow at the factory. 3" coming out of the grey bathroom tank and 1 1/2 " line out of the black tank. The labels were also wrong. The dealer just shook his head. I knew from the get go it would have to be fixed but got by for a few short camping trips until now. Other than that one situation it has been a very nice rig. Dinette and couch slide and has breakfast bar which provides a ton of eating and counter space. The workmanship seems good, nice cabinets, fabric and trim. Like most rv's you will find sawdust and stuff behind panels and out of the way places. Ours has the cold weather package underbelly with heated tanks. If only they had got the drains in the right place.  ??? The ducted a/c is worth every penny. Lots quieter, better cooling and thermostat allows cycling just like home. We had an older Layton, 1977, that was mainly a hunting rig and it served well for about 20 years. We just plain wore it out. If you find one you really like, grab it and go camping
