1978 Dodge B300 w/5.9L.
Hi everyone!
New to the RV/Motor Home family.
I purchased this about a month ago and when I drove it home everything worked fine.
Two weeks ago I went camping and on the way home I noticed that the ammeter was showing discharge.
When I got a chance to look at it and did some meter tests found that the voltage at the battery was 12.8.
I charged it up and when I went to start it I noted the ammeter(dash) said about 14.8 when started but fairly quickly (10-15 seconds) dropped down to below 13.
So I  attached a volt meter to the battery and restarted the engine and confirmed that the inside ammeter was correct.
So I replaced the external voltage regulator and still had the same problem.
Not sure where to go from here, I am assuming that the alternator is working correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you ahead for taking the time to read this and maybe pointing me in the right direction.
