Beautiful area, suppose the rivers were a bit low with the lack of rain. Did you eat at the Angry Trout? I'll be up there next weekend, breakfast at Trail Center (on the gunflint) then running Forest roads on Motorcycle. We also Snowmobile up there great trails..

We have enjoyed the Grand Marais area since the 1970's. Always nice to visit.
 
My son lives there.  Try Devils Track Lake  campground north of town off of the Gunflint on cty 8.  Large individual sites, but no hook-ups-very private.
