I am going to pick up a 1985 trailer 35' this weekend that has been sitting for about two years unused. What should i do before i pull it?
any tricks or tips?
thanks guys and girls

Hoo boy!

First thing is be sure you can pull it with your truck.  A 35' trailer will be a heavy trailer.  What is its weight.  What is the tow rating of your truck.

Second thing is check out the tires.  If they are over 5 years old, you are going to have to change them.  If they are over 7 years old do that NOW!

Is this a 5th wheel unit or a travel trailer?

I'd be willing to bet at least one tire will blow out, since it has been sitting awhile. Maybe even all of them, if they are more than 4-5 years old.  I'd want to have at least one good spare with me, but if the tires are old I'd just replace them all before even starting out.

Now, about that tow vehicle...  How heavy is this trailer and what are you going to tow with? And what about light hook-ups?
