Fishing around Eureka CA

Howdy,
Does anyone have any input about fishing around the Eureka, Arcata CA area ?
Fresh water streams or some Surf/Jetty sites are really welcome.
Going to be here for a month or more, Rain... yeah... cool ... Yeah. But a beautiful area.
 
Google turned up a number of fishing-related sites for that area, although this may not be the best time of year.
