Hi,  I attempted to download the blank travel recommendations to my hard drive but it won't cooperate.  I know it's an excel file but don't know how to make it play nice with Microsoft Works Spreadsheet.  Any suggestions?
Pam

I don't believe Works will open Excel files.  Check the File Open dialog for File Type and see if it allows .xls for a choice.

Oh well, guess I won't be adding my "wealth" of information!

But I do have a question...

Any recommendations for RV parks in the Colorado Springs area?  Just found out that I may/or may not have a job down there.  I'm at Chatfield State Park at the moment and it is WONDERFUL!  It just takes  a while to exit the park, about 5 miles.
Please keep your fingers crossed that this job doesn't fall through too.
Thanks
Pam

MS Works 8.x will open and save to Excel format. If you don't have Works 8.x or later, go ahead and post your information in whichever Works rev you have and I should be able to open and merge your "wealth of information".

There's a KOA on the south end of town, actually in Fountain. It's not very exciting and it's a KOA. (Used to stay there in the 70s for $5 a night...how things have changed.)

Out east of town, near Pete Field, there's Wrangler RV Park. Not fancy but has a fenced acre for dogs to run.

West of town, there's Garden of the Gods campground. Very nice with lots of planned events during the summer but pricey.

Southwest of town there's Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park. We stayed there when I was in the Army and we were househunting. Very easy access to Fort Carson. Awesome bug museum.

There's a couple of Passport America parks in Colorado Springs. Don't know anything about them.

We spent a week at Mountaindale (http://www.mountaindalecampground.com/) RV park last month. It may be too far from town for you, 15-20 miles southwest of Colorado Springs.  We found it to be very nice for our needs.  Quiet, out in the country, good wifi.  It is a passport campground and they gave us five of the seven days at half price.

Thanks Wendy,

I called around and almost ended up at Garden of the Gods but opted for a park with cable.  I've been TV deprived since January as I don't have a dish.  I ended up at Goldfield on 26th Street.  It's only 5 miles from where I'm working and the owner ED was VERY nice.  Nice facilities and good security and they are open all year.  Good prices too.

Not much asthetically as the RV's, many big rigs, are packed in pretty tight.  But I figure I'll be at work most of the time and can visit the many sights on the weekends.

Thanks for the help.

If you don?t have time to provide all info, I can help look up phone numbers and websites if you ask (I don?t want to add to or change anyone?s information without permission).  I need to know the RV Park name and the city (for example, on my entry for Yellowstone, I put Yellowstone for the city/area since that is what people will look for but Yellowstone?s Edge RV Park is in Livingston, MT).  I can?t help with GPS coordinates but maybe someone will volunteer this information for us Non-GPSers.

You can lookup GPS coordinates, phone numbers, websites for about 3,500 parks (adding more daily) here:

Was able to open it with Open Office. Not sure what to do with it. I've never used a spread sheet. But it looks cool. :)

As you see, nobody had responded to it for over 2 years, until today. Some of the original respondents are no longer active here.

;) ;) ;) LOL I have to say this; I know a guy that is doing a lot of free RV parking and showing people where. His channel name is "Living Free" on youtube. He's a bit quirky. But seems really knowledgeable. I hope I can post that on this thread?  Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9Yl9NlOsgfUR6jkKfTAgBQ  :) :) :)
