We live north of Atlanta and are dirt bike woods riders for the most part. We have 2 great places (pay to ride) that we frequent. Highland Park resort in Cedartown GA has great technical riding. More bike friendly than UTV or ATV but there are trails for everything. Camping is basically primative but you can get a good size rig in there. There are no hook ups but for 5 bucks a night, what do you want. They rent bikes as well for those that travel light.
The other place that we go to is Durhamtown Plantation. It is mid way between Atlanta and Agusta and has just about every amenity that a dirt lover could want. Rentals of bikes, ATV's UTV's . They have a pro shop that is well stocked and has decent pricing. On site resturant (chow hall really). Mechanics and tire services. Camping is good. Not well manicured sites but full hook ups and 30 or 50 amp service. They have a lot of trails, the place is over 6000 Acres. Everything from MX tracks (6+) to single track GNCC type trails to dozer wide trails to MXGP tracks you can race SxS's on. Flat track and drag strip too... So fun for a weekend or week if so inclined. Very family friendly. Busy on weekends but week days you have the place to yourself. They have a pretty nice Jeep park. you can mountain bike , fish or shoot (nice rifle / pistol range). They have some skeet throwers as well. All included if camping. have seen everything from Tent campers to Class A's hauling 30ft enclosed trailers. They rent cabins too but don't expect the Ritz (which by the way is not far if you or the spouse wants a massage or better digs...)
Camping is around $35.00 / night. Ride fees range depending on age but are around $25 or $30 / day.
We always get a 6 month pass... And we use it. It is only 2 hours from the house so really easy when we want to use up a sunny weekend.
