Going to Carnegie Hall
« on: January 30, 2014, 11:33:07 AM »
Our Music Director has a favorite story (joke) about a musician who got into a NY cab and asked the cabbie "Do you know how to get to Carnegie Hall?" The cabbie paused, and said "You practice".

Last week, the lead guitar player from a local band joined our ukulele band. At the end of practice, he told me (he) was really struggling with the chords. This week he showed up and played like he's been playing the uke for a long time. He told me he takes his uke to work every day and, at lunch time, drives to the park and practices.

I told our Music Director "I need to go to Carengie Hall"  :(

That's what my guitar teacher told me, "try to practice at least 24 hrs a day"
