Hi everyone,
I have a question.  I just installed the Happijac tiedowns on my 2005 Dodge Ram short bed.  I am looking at buying a Palamino Bronco 1251.
My question for anyone running this combination, is about clearance of the rear tiedowns going from the camper to the hooks on the rear bumper.  The Palamino Bronco 1251 is a little narrower then a regular size camper.  About 7ft wide.
If anyone is running the Ram-Palamino combination I would be interested in how much clearance between the  rear tie downs and the rear fender?  And if I should be concerned about the camper shifting and letting the tie downs scrap the fender if they are close?
This will be my first truck camper, and all answers will be appreciated.
Thank You,
James

I had a 2008 1251SB in my 2008 ram.

It fit fine, but did move around quite a bit. I didn't know I should remove the plastic bed liner. The rear tie downs are close, but I never broke the tail lamps. (It did scratch one of them)

If your truck is a 1500, the camper is really too heavy. I added spring leafs to mine, but it never really felt great.

Hope this helps
