MN Blue Skies
Site Team
We are planning one of our first RV trips to scenic SE Minnesota Bluff Country and would love to find other RVers to join us. Tentatively we are planning a trip for May 29 – June 1. If you might be interested let us know so that we can get your input and keep you up to date on the plans.
Below we have listed some area attractions and links.
Area attractions:
-- Hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and horseback riding along the Root River Trail.
-- National trout center and fly fishing – three blue-ribbon trout streams. (We can look into getting lessons for fly fishing pros in the
area.)
-- Amish Tours and Amish farms and buggies along country roads
-- Mystery Cave and Niagara Cave- stalactites, stalagmites, and underground pools. Guided tours by Park Naturalists. Possibly a
guided tour for photographers (hobbyist, enthusiast, or pro so that you can bring a tripod or monopod.)
-- Historic sites including ghost towns and old cemeteries (Zumbro Hills Cemetery)
-- Scenic trials and byways
-- Arts and entertainment in Lanesboro
-- Slims Wood Shed – The largest wood carving museum in the US
