I just mounted a CB and dual band radio above the windshield of my jeep. Anyone have creative ideas for managing the cords that dangle down?

There is a bow supporting the soft top about 8" towards the rear. I have considered Velcro at that point to keep the loose cord tethered near the middle. That would allow quick detachment if the full length is needed. Since the CB is only used on trail rides I only attach the mic at that time.

i use one of those belt clip retractable keychains, attached to the overhead console in my truck. I clipped my mic on the end of the chain where the keyring would go. it holds the mic up and out of the way when not in use, and i just pull it down when i want to talk....

There is a microphone retractable cord:

And there is a wireless mic:

I have the mics themselves clipped to the mounting bar. It was the cords that I wanted to keep up out of my way. I ended up with a Velcro loop around a top crossmember that captures the center of the cord and holds it up.

It is working pretty well now. Thanks for the input.

I have my mic clip on the side of the radio, and just wrap the mic wire around the mounting bar for daily driving, but leave it hanging for off road trips.
