I would like to add Class 4 or 5 (or even 3) hitch for 1999 Ford E-450 Super Duty 26' Class C RV with 7.3L Diesel engine. This RV weights 11,000 lbs and can tow up to 20,000 lbs gross (that leaves me 9,000 lbs available to tow (yeah I'll need to figure the cargo weight as well). This E-450 has 176" wheelbase.
I would like for this RV to be able to tow my EverGreen Ever-Lite 29FK travel trailer (dry weight is 4,900 lbs and max loaded weight is 6,700 lbs) and I would guess my current loaded weight in this trailer is around 6,250 lbs.
I do use weight distribution hitch with anti-sway bar.
I searched for self-install/bolt on hitch (Class 4 or 5) but they are usually for 1999 F-450 Super Duty chassis with 34" wide frame. I found one for E-450 but that was for year 2003.
Wonder if hitch kit available for 1999 F-450 chassis would fit same for 1999 E-450 chassis?
