I've searched and found some conflicting answers, so I started another thread.......................sorry. :-[

We just purchased a '14 Wrangler JKU to use as our Toad.

Blue Ox Tow bar system.

My question:  Has anyone used an aftermarket bumper instead of the blue ox base plate?  If yes, any suggestions?  Also, what adapters are available to use in place of D-ring attachments ?

I have a 13' Wrangler and use the D ring adaptors. I took my Ox base plate off because I felt it hung too low for offroad. You can find after factory bumpers that will still allow use of the standard baseplate or cut up a baseplate and mod the sockets into your bumper.(btw I have a base plate for sale in the for sale section)

Bellman, what did you end up doing?  Can you share pics? 

I have similar setup:
2014 wrangler unlimited
Blue ox bar with d-ring adapters
