Hello everyone... I'm looking at the SMI Stay N Play system for my toad, a Jeep Wrangler.  Any good/bad on it?
Thanks
Keith

Don't know the system at all..  Personally after considering all the alternatives I choose the US Gear Unified Brake Decelarator as my towed braking system.  Good system.  Here are the advantages.

1: Porportional (you adjust the amount of power to the towed)
2: Progressive (The harder you stop, the harder it stops)
3: Invisible: to the driver of the towed, or nearly so, nothing to remove and forget to replace when hooking and unhooking
4: Universial, works on most any towed or MH, gas or diesel

And a side benefit not listed in the owner's manual or advertising sheets.

Supplies MH power to charge towed battery (iup to 40 amps dual w/breakers at each end) so when I pulled out at around 3am and found my tail lights on the towed were not getting power from the MH, I simply hit the parking light switch and got the bad wire replaced 2,000 miles later

Like John, I have no experience with the SMI brake. For info, here's an article describing various toad braking systems.
