Less then three weeks to the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory Spring Fling. Friends were up in that area 2 weeks ago and there was 4 feet of snow on the ground. NOAA still indicates as of today 3 feet of snow. IF there are indications of at least a foot on April 25th we will take our snow shoes to Spring Fling...just for fun.
Tahquamenon Falls S.P. will be open but with only electrical hookups. They plow the roads a maybe 2 dozen of the campsites. Rather tight for anything larger than a small 'C' so it a great place for B's.
Break the cabin fever. Get the B out of storage. Put some rose in your cheeks. Of course bring your scopes, binoculars, and birding books. Google Whitefish Point Spring Fling. Friday night Methodist Church (I think) pasty dinner. Saturday night birding banquet. Banquet speaker this year is Kevin Karlson, well-known bird photographer and author. Kevin's topic will be Birds on the Wind: The Miracle of Migration. Good classes Saturday for those who want them. Etc.
Would be great to meet some RV Forum B members at the point.
