Bitter Springs Trail and Boathouse Cove

I had the opportunity to do a little "wheeling" with some folks yesterday and we did the Bitter Springs Trail that skirts the South side of the Valley of Fire (NV) and then crosses North Shore Road at Lake Mead down to the dwindling water line. It was a very sad sight for me, having grown up in Clark County, NV and have seen Lake Mead at its heyday.

That's my little red TJ next to those grown up JKs... :D

I scraped bottom a couple of times, and scraped the gas tank armor once real good. I would like to have been able to get the TJ lifted and so forth before Moab, but that ain't going to happen. I'll be relegated to exploring the area (Moab) and staying off the trails this year. But I am learning what the Jeep needs in the way of future mods.
