We're visiting family near Columbus, OH and last evening I attended a get-together of the Buckeye Ukulele Society in downtown Columbus. A grand total of 6 of us turned up, with varying degrees of skill. It would have been nice to know ahead of time which songs we were going to play/sing, so I could have downloaded "readable" music. We shared a couple of small-print song books, which didn't work well with my bifocals.
I'm also used to a more-disciplined/organized approach with our uke band, and this felt more like a jam session. Nevertheless, I enjoyed a couple of hours of "making music" with other ukulele players.
