Here are some neat websites I've come across when it comes to painting inside an RV.

http://www.nuvocabinetpaint.com - cabinet paint
http://www.gianiproducts.com - countertop paint
https://suite.io/rae-crothers/49r22ad - how to paint rv walls easily and successfully

I'm gonna be trying these out over the next 4 - 5 months! Will post pics as I make progress.  ;D

Here is a video of the RV we are getting. http://youtu.be/twKIMklBF_Q

When we ordered it we decided to take out the outside kitchen and make it more cabinet storage so Michael can have a work space. We also had the couch and bunk that was over it taken out of the second bedroom. That way we had room for a crib, changing table etc. and when the child (we are trying right now) gets older we can put a desk or something there and they can sleep on the bed on the left above the cabinets!

Our bedroom colors are going to be turquoise, cream and brown. Added a few pics of what we are putting in our main bedroom. I'm painting the cabinetry and trim a dark espresso and the walls cream. Here is what color I picked for cabinets and trim in the main bdrm. http://www.gianiproducts.com/nuvo-cabinet-paint/nuvo-cocoa-couture-cabinet-kit/

The living room/kitchen will be ash color. http://www.gianiproducts.com/nuvo-cabinet-paint/nuvo-abstract-ash-cabinet-kit/

The walls will be around this color. http://www.gianiproducts.com/nuvo-cabinet-paint/nuvo-coconut-espresso-cabinet-kit/

The rug is going in the living room/kitchen area.

I'm going to wait on the decorating the second bedroom until we have our kid then depending on the sex decorate accordingly.

I'm also going to paint the main bathroom a burnt orange color. I think I'll keep the cabinets the same color though.

I'd love to hear feedback from y'all if you've ever used these painting techniques or products and what you think of my color schemes. Thanks in advance!

Hi Christina and welcome to the forum. The RV I currently own (1995 Damon 32 foot class A) had the entire interior painted flat white before I bought it.

If you don't mind me asking. How much did that cost? Did you do the walls too? Have you changed the color since? Can I see pictures? Just wondering how much that will increase our monthly payment to have it done to a 43ft 5th wheel. And if it would be easier to paint the colors we want on top if the coat they put on it.

Love the bedroom colors those are exactly what I have in my bathroom. I totally gutted and remodeled my RV all by my lonesome and my advice is just go for it. You can always paint over a color you don't like and making changes that suit you make it yours. My personal favorite change I made even though it is small is taking a wall under a window and putting in the small cube shelving with the fabric drawers. I now have 24 drawers that hold an amazing amount  of stuff. I put metal clips on the back of the drawers and magnet strips on the wall behind to keep them from just popping out while traveling. On top I put a 1 x 8 that has another attached with a piano hinge so we can flip it open and have a nice top for  our computers, but when closed keeps the floor space open. Our rig is just 24 ft, so you have a mansion! Good luck to you!

Thanks! I have a lot of turquoise in my living room and the decorations I'm keeping are going into the bedroom. Now that will be the turquoise room. ? And that is a terrific idea about the storage space. I've been trying to come up with ideas how to save space but fit everything I want to keep as far as clothes. Do you have a picture I could reference?

You can google it up, they are just Closetmaid storage cubes and you buy the separate drawers. I got the small ones (they show in the pictures people having them on top of a desk), each drawer is just 7 x 7 x 7 inches, and each unit has 6 cubes. I didn't want anything sticking out into the room too much, but if you have the space they have the larger cubes I think they are 12" square. I got four sections, turned them sideways and screwed them all together then put on a top. When you were talking about the baby room I thought you could store a million items in such a get up. The drawers fit more than you think, I got all our undies, socks, tshirts, toiletries, batteries, etc etc in them and I haven't filled them all yet. I actually wish I would have put this in my bathroom also, but too late now. The units comes in a few colors and the drawers have a bigger selection of colors. I ordered my online and got them MUCH cheaper than they were selling them at target-I think the shipping was free too.

Oh that's an excellent idea! The babies room!  We will have the extra wall space since we are getting one of the bunks and the couch in that bdrm removed. That would be a wonderful place for storage cause looks like we are going to have to use the storage in that bedroom right now for us. Thank you so very much for the advice! I love getting tips like this!

Cnh23 - is this pic below what you have? Is it the regular size or the mini?

Here are the new updated versions of the master bdrm room and the kitchen/living room and master bathroom. Actually thought I'd be honest cnh23. I thought the colors were going to be too dark even with light colored walls so this is the theme I have now. Totally found this bedspread online and fell in love. Never was "in love" with the first one. I changed out the headboards and curtains too!

Congratulations and nice work.

My plan is to buy a RV in the future so I am here doing a lot of reading/research when I ran across this thread.

I have done a lot of painting in my day but never in a RV however it can't be too much different than a home.

I have done the typical work on walls and trim in and outside. However what I really enjoy doing is painting kitchen cabinets and ceramic tile in bathrooms with out a shower/tub ie: powder room. Too much steam and water for this to work long term. Cabinets tile both need to be prepped properly with attention to detail as it will payoff in the end. Also a top shelf high bond primer like Benjamin Moore's Stix is critical. What your trying to do is get the paint to adhere like a adhesive which is what paint really is, a pigmented adhesive. To get the high bond primer to adhere really well you have to etch the surface well and clean the fine scratches so the HB primer can grasp to hard to adhere to surface. When I have done ceramic tile I usually use two light coats of Stix and at least two coast of the finish paint usually a high gloss. Personally I like the look of a stippled finish so use a velour roller sleeve. I prefer using the small rollers over spraying since spraying in difficult when it comes to touch ups.
So if you have a thought of painting something you never thought you could because the paint won't stick well, technology has changed over the years. The paint companies have done wonders with environmental friendly and high bond paints.
Just thought I'd share this idea with you guys and hope it can help.
