I travel all the time with my guitars, an acoustic and a Tele. If you meet bluegrassers you'll need an acoustic. They don't like amp's! Some worry about moisture and I was told by a older worker at Martin factory to play it then put it in the case and I've done this for thirty years without a problem. When traveling I lay mine on the bed until we arrive at our destination. When you talk about playing you need to include what type of music you play. Bluegrass. Country. Blues, Gospel, rock, a combination? Some go together, but some not so tolerant. Even in Country, you can break it down classic country, new country, Western, Swing. We have die hards in every field. Just one mans thoughts.
